OMG...LAST NIGHT!!!

Ok. Listen friends. I understand that I speak in the 3rd person and switch up to 1st person mad quickly. I realize how annoying and confusing that is. So let me speak to yall as Jemini. When I created this blog, I wanted to inform yall of my movement. This blog is all about getting to know Jemini on a personal level. Walk with me through my journey and shit. So...without further delay...LAST NIGHT.

Friends. Last night was rock star status. Ok. I just got back from NY. What a trip. So if you looked at my calendar, you'd see that I was scheduled to perform in Manhattan yesterday. Well, I hopped on the FUNG WAH (a cheap ass bus that takes you straight to NY from Boston) with my Marketing Consultant and friend and Super DJ, Sydney Devon aka DJ Styles. So Syd knows people. When I say he knows people, I mean HE IS KNOWN out in NY. Ok. We land in Manhattan at about 8 pm (an hour and a half early). I was scheduled to be at the show at 9:30pm. There's an hour to kill so what do we do? SUSHI!!!. Syd got such a big love for sushi so we hit the sushi bar. I tried Sake for the first time. Love california rolls!!!. We tip the waitress (hot ass asian by the way) and headed to the show which was about 3 blocks away. I get there and the place was packed. Ain't nobody knew who the fukc I was. Yes, that's the way I spell it. I check in backstage and kicked it with the rest of the performers that was on the bill. I met this fine ass, talented singer/songwriter from Queens by the name of Shalea. Shalea writes about her life experiences and we talked about music, life and collaboration. We are already gonna be working on songs this year. I can't wait. Shalea goes on stage and I am blown away by her vocal control and presence. She knows just how to communicate with the audience on an emotional level. We excahnge numbers and she listens to some of my tracks on my iPod and tells me how much she can't wait to see me perform. So I'm waiting. And waiting. And waiting to go on. Alyson Williams performs and at first, I was surprised that she still could sing!!!. I know that sounds mad ignorant but let me keep it real with yall. Well, appearantly, she was only supposed to do 3 songs, uhhhmm, tell me why this lady was on stage for a good hour and a half. More than half the time, she was acting a damn fool, singer cover songs a capella and shit. Meanwhile, there was a pool of perfomers waiting to get on backstage including your boy. Alyson bored the shit out of me after about 15 minutes into her set. Ok. All this time, Sydney was pissed. He decided to contact Black Sheep about an opportunity to perform a few concerts in Boston (which I am excited about. I believe I will be on those bills as well Can't wait)... Black Sheep was siked and so was I. Finally, I was introduced to perform after this comedian. The DJ dropped "BUMP IT" and my energy level just went off!!! I was so pumped that these NY people was actually singing along and dancing around. I mean, they were bumping that shit hard. People rocked with it. Old people, young people, white people, black people, skinny people, fat people. EVERYBODY. All of them connected to the performance and vibe with Jem. What a rush!!! After the performance, they asked for an encore!!! I gave them an encore. During this Bump It encore, this fuckin co-host tried to kick me off the stage. I was vexed. I snatched his mic from him and I asked the people what they wanted. They screamed "BUMP IT". I pushed the co-host aside and I asked the DJ to run it back and performed BUMP IT again!!!. Left the stage and people were still buggin out about the performance. I was surprised as shit. When I got backstage, Shalea greeted me with mad love and embraced the performance. All the other artist backstage showed mad love. Sydney grabs me and informs me that we have to go to New Jersey right awawy. So, I say bye to the performers and as I'm walking out of the club, people were chanting BUMP IT while the next performer was still on stage doing his thang (MAD SALTED...LOL). Hopped in a cab and we go to CLUB RISE. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the bouncer who grabbed my sports duffle bag and walked us to VIP where I met with Dance Pop Sensation, Sophia May!!! She is dope. Sophia has a big hit record right now in 4 DIFFERENT COUNTRIES!!!!. She is running dance music right now. She's from London and they flew her out to RISE to perform her international hit and payed her mad gwap. Free drinks, VIP and all of that. I didn't even have club appearal on. Sydney, Sophia and her camp, and I partied and got drunk as all hell till let out. OMG... we hopped in her limo and headed back to Manhattan where we chilled at this Irish Pub. Mad cool. I was done though. Sophia and I are gonna be working on a dance remix for BUMP IT in the next few weeks!!! I'm going international baby!!!. Sophia and I got to know each other a bit more on an artist to artist tip and I relate to her story. We exchanged info and bounced. Syd and I caught a cab to FUNG WAH station. I got out. He went back to Jersey. I bought a ticket to Boston. Hopped on the bus and knocked out. Woke up at South Station. Called wifey to pick me up and dipped home. Now I am writing yall at work. What A NIGHT!!!. Good lookin out Syd for showing me how to live like a rock star. Fat shouts to Shalea. Can't wait to work with you, love. Fat shouts to all of the other artists that performed last night and showed love. Fat shouts to D. Jullien (a dope hip hop artist). My dude's lyrics and delivery is dope as hell.
